Yeah right!

This release would probably best be titled " Find American Made Computers". Why? Because you can't. You can't because there are none. Maybe it should be titled " Because There Are None"...because there are none!

Have you really checked one of those big box computers lately at Wal Mart, Office Depot, Circuit City or your corner computer shop? " Made in China" is typically stamped all over the box, and even though our dogs were poisoned, our children are playing with toys loaded with leaded paint, the U.S. had to return ships laden with "bad" sea food, and every day brings a new fear or recall we go blindly on our self centered way.

God knows America needs to be a service oriented industry and nation. We do not wish to work up a sweat or get dirt under our finger nails when such menial labor can be outsourced off shore so cheaply. Our children are not even allowed to play for fear they might get hurt, get sick or get dirty.

Every child needs a broken bone, the mumps and measles, a big old dirty collie dog like Lassie to play with, and a freshly baked mud pie. We were happier when that was the norm. Both adults and children were generally healthier then, and the electronics, equipment, machines and automobiles we bought and used were American Made - and boy did we take pride in them. Like the earlier computers they were made of metal not plastic, they were not throw away toys, they lasted longer, and above all they contributed to the pride, world standing, and economy of the then Great United States of America.

Get the kid out from in front of the helevision and away from X Box - Bill Gates has enough of your money. Send him outside to play. His whole nature will improve. He will be less sluggish, grumpy, and disrespectful - he might even get his pants back up over his butt. Confiscate his imported cell phone and put him in bed by 9:00 PM and watch him start to excel at school - he might even learn to be a giver instead of taking all the time. Demand and buy American when possible and watch the whole world improve. Raise something and purchase something you can and will take pride in. We will all be the better for it!

Check this Buy American web page and notice there are no computers or computer parts made in the U.S.:

Laptop Computers Made in The USA Check The List of American Made Products at U.S. Stuff and Note that while there is a "Computer" category, it has no (absolutely no) item listed.

Check this C/NET Forum started four (4) years ago in 2003 searching for a computer " with mostly American made components". Not another posting after the first inquiry. Why? Because there are none.

Go ahead, P L E A S E, search Google or Yahoo or Copernic or anywhere else you choose for American made computers, American made computer parts, etc. There are none...not any more. What happened in Silicon Valley? Where did the huge manufacturing centers that were once numerous across this Great Land (where a man could be assured of a job and work it all his life without fear of losing it) go? Why have we lost the hearts and minds of our own people? The Anglo's took this land away from the American Indian and then gave it to the third world.

What can we do? Buy custom built from an American. Sure the initial investment will be a bit more and it will still be built with imported parts, but it will be built better with the best possible parts for the money. You see, Americans don't live cheaply in one room apartments without furniture existing primarily on a diet of rice or share an outside toilet and common cooking areas with other families. But then why should we, we don't even share a love for our mother country or our neighbor.

You see, I really am the Tennessee Mountain Man! But, you will not find many of us with the encroachment of our sissified and politically correct society. Why? Because there are none.

John, Martin, Abraham, Jack, Ronnie and The Duke are dead, and I don't feel very well. So I really must go now.

Personally I have recently founded a company in Illinois to bring all of the assembly, support and services work back on shore. We are 100% staying here with this portion of the business, and always looking for more domestic sources that we can be cost-competitive with for components. Check us out if you're really interested.  The company is called Total Aura.

This is a great article and it is 100% true we Americans should keep our great Nation American. Buy American made products everytime you can get it. Even if the product costs more, the money helps out fellow Americans and eventually comes back to you. Always keep the United States of America American, never buy forgien products. Also, Polywell is a great computer company which is mostly made in the USA in South San Fransisco actually. Well this is kinda long but always remember one thing, keep America American, our Nation will stay strong, American Strong and Proud.

Because of every thing being  made over seas I am Jobless don't view me as a chinese hater I got friend from China they agree with a lot of my views that America needs  to start making things here  because they are hurting to from us going broke and I do feel we Americans need to start developing new computers new displays and we need to allow more production lower restrictions on certain things they should allow us to make are own Cars and Trucks and Mod and improve things and companies should have no right say any thing about it I don't feel american companies should move out of china but the should keep the products in china that is made there and they should keep what we make here if they are low on supplies i feel trade  is ok  all companies all over the world I feel should have the same standards and the same pay rate if its american company the owner should look for the best standards that fits the employees  the best.

I was searching Google for computers made in America and the best that I could find was "Union Built PC," which is a bit misleading. The machines are assembled in the US, but the components have been shipped in from elsewhere. Sad.

It's about time! I think that America should lead the world in exports. We need to go back to our steady paced 40 hour weeks, with our paid for lunches and two breaks and if we are a smoker, take our 10 minute break on the hour, every hour. That is the way the world was and why we ever thought it was a good idea to let the communists, THE COMMUNITS have all that?! What in the world were we thinking about? Just what in the heck did they do to our country? The only way that we will ever get it back, is to all band together and fight back. But how do we go about it? We need to get the patitions going at every place where there is alot of people traffic and get the signatures to have a vote to BRING IT BACK! I am a Colorado mountain man and I am really upset seeing the country the way it is now. I think we could start by getting this country back on track with synthetic fuels made from coal. There is enough there to supply us for the next 1000 years and I do not want to stop there. Let's supply the world's energy needs through a sythetic gas and take all the money and weath from the Middle East and put it right in our back hip pocket. Sythetic fuels once established would be cheaper to produce and is much safer than refinement. It is time, fellas, we are long over due. Let's get our heads together on this one and have a pettion for a vote to get this country back on track with energy independance. Then, with cheap reliable energy we will out produce any one in the world and stamp out the Communist take over before it is too late. The last thing I want to see is that million man army coming over that hill! For you GI's out there, you really know what I am refering to. Let's fight for that high paying, easy going 40 hour a week job that allows us to really live in the free world.

Our own laws are the undoing of industry in the US. We have regulated ourselves out of the world market. GM has failed....again and is propped up by the government.....again. Why...don't sue me....oh you mean you might sue me out of my livelihood and everything I've worked for? Taxed me to death so you can spend what I've earned for my family and given it to someone else for some "noble cause" because I'm not smart enough to see what is wrong with wealth transfer payments in the US. For every dollar you pay in taxes, 80% of it goes to overhead, like employee pay, rent, office space etc. No business would survive very long like that. The hue and cry these days is that it is unfair for someone to succeed If I'm not getting a piece of it. It used to be that if you worked hard, you were rewarded and compensated for your effort and risk. Now those people are villians. Why work anymore at all? The more you make, the less you can keep. I ran a business in NY once and paid so much in taxes that I could have hired many more people and couldn't. Left the business and left NY. You pay taxes that you didn't even know about. If it wasn't for all the regulation and taxes, you would instantly double your pay. I think you can spend what you earn better than the government. Maybe industry would come back to the US? US workers will not work for free and they shouldn't. They should be paid for what skills and talent they can offer. What is the government spending your money on????? Would you rather spend it on your family?

are laws have put us out of work. but what are we to do but stop buying china made. we to go to DC and tell them to at least put a 50% band on all china made stuff. this is a new way to do it but if we dont there will be no more jobs in the usa. So we need to join to gether and protest china made products. for those who can go to dc plese do so and start protesting agents china

i have an IBM thinkpad that says 'assembeld in U.S.A. with U.S. and foreign components." that's as close as i could get for now, but i'm still looking. the rest of my life is also 100% American-made with the exception of out large lcd tv which is made in mexico with an American picture tube or monitor or whatever you call it now. all of my tools, clothes, vehicles, vehicle parts, hardware, house materials(we built our house from the ground up), including our drywall screws(try finding that one), 100% of my band's equipment, my cell phone!, everything i own is American-made. unlike liberals, i LOVE this country and totally respect all the people who have laid down their lives for our freedom and rights and the constitution. systemaxpc brags about being American-made.
